Coach JJ has been active coaching all three of his sons. He coaches on the diamond, the court and the gridiron. JJ will be assisting with our 10u and 12u teams as well. He and Coach Tim bring years' worth of experience and understand how to set a lasting foundation and teach the game to beginner players. 

Brian Haygood
8U Coach
Coach Brian started coaching in 2015 and has coached a multitude of youth sports from Basketball, Baseball, Softball, and Football. Understanding the impact a quality coach has in the life of our youth is a responsibility Coach Brian has never taken lightly. Mentoring first, always stressing the importance of the process over outcome. Coach Brian’s goal in joining the Cypress Seahawks is to provide an environment for boys to grow in the sport of Football, stressing the significance of character, while helping the boys keep the promises they have made to their teammates, coaches, and most importantly themselves.

Tim Applewhite
10U Coach
Coach Tim began coaching in 2013, the year his first son was born. My passion for football led me to a fork in the road. When offered a HS coaching job, I had to decide to remain a CPA in public accounting or transition to the world of Texas high school football. I coached football for 4 years before my son was old enough to begin playing other sports. I have coached my oldest son for 4 years now and my second son just finished year one. My faith shapes everything I do, and football is no different. Football is my passion, but also my Ministry. I have had some incredible coaches that came into my life and impacted me greatly while playing. I can only hope to give back a fraction of what I have been blessed to receive.
